Great Plains College boasts one of the most competitive scholarship programs among regional colleges in the province. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, more than $2 million has been distributed to students enrolled in full-time student loan-eligible programs since 2009, including more than $155,000 in the 2019-20 academic year.
Great Plains College is pleased to offer a number of scholarship opportunities for students applying to full-time student loan-eligible programs, including:
- ABE Persistence Awards
- Athletic Scholarships
- Entrance Scholarships - $500-$5,000
- External Awards
- Grade 11 Early Entrance Scholarship - $1,000
Great Plains College may also provide emergency funding assistance to students whose continued education is at risk due to unexpected financial issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility criteria
English is the language of instruction and examination at Great Plains College. If your first or primary language is not English and/or your country is not exempt, you will need to provide evidence of having the English language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing necessary to be successful in the program you are applying to.
An overall minimum score of 81 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT), with a minimum score of 19 in each of reading, listening, speaking and writing for Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs.
An overall minimum score of 79 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT), with a minimum score of 18 in each of reading, listening, speaking and writing for Assiniboine Community College programs.
IELTS- Min Band 5.5 and no less than 4.0 in each component
Accommodation
Great Plains College does not have dormitory residences on its campuses. Students will need to make private rental arrangements.
