Lincoln University

Lincoln University is a highly-ranked public institution for higher education and research. Established as the School of Agriculture in 1878, the institution went through various structural and name changes over the years. A constituent college of the University of Canterbury since 1961, Lincoln College was made an independent university in 1990.Situated in New Zealand's Lincoln town, the university has a 143-acre campus in Christchurch outskirts that consists of administrative offices, academic buildings, recreational and parking spaces, residence halls, and sports facilities. Lincoln University has three faculties offering a range of career-focused diplomas and undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level degree programs. It also has the University Studies and English Language Division that renders two teaching programs in the English language. At present, 3,181 students are pursuing their degree programs at the university. There are around 1300 international students from 80 different countries in the world, who make up 40% of the student population.

ON- CAMPUS

Our campus is home to around 600 students during the university year and you can choose between catered Halls of Residence, self-catered flats, or housing. Students living on campus say it is a fantastic way to enjoy their time at Lincoln. You’ll make friends for life; there’s always something fun going on and you’re just a short walk away from lectures, gym, shops, cafés and bars.

HOMESTAY

Homestay living offers an excellent opportunity for you to improve your English and immerse yourself in New Zealand culture. With all your basic needs taken care of, it will give you the time to adjust to a new way of life and settle into your Lincoln University study programme. New Zealand families are diverse. Some households have two parents, while others might be single-parent families. Many retired couples, whose children have left home, will choose to host homestay students as well.
