Established in 2003, TU9 is an association of the nine most oldest and largest universities focusing on engineering and technology in Germany: The Braunschweig University is one of therm.

The Braunschweig University of Technology (Technische Universität Braunschweig), is the oldest institute of technology among the TU9. It was founded in 1745. Situated in the German state of Lower Saxony, Braunschweig has over 20,000 students, of which approximately 7,500 are female. 14% of the student body is international. The university of TU Braunschweig is a research-oriented university with highly ranked programs in aeronautics, engineering, and life-sciences.

The TU Braunschweig with its 120 institutes offers excellent conditions for future orientated research and teachings: engineering and natural sciences are the academic core subjects and are closely linked with economics, humanities and social and educational sciences. Students have the choice between approximately 60 different degree courses and numerous extension courses and options.

Entry requirements are based on your prior study and specific requirements for qualifications the international students have most frequently achieved.

Admission requirements are set very high by the German Universities.

For Bachelor’s students need to either complete 1 year of Bachelors study in India, appear for IITJEE or they need to go with 1 year of foundation course along with the language Course.(GERMANY has 13 year Education system 12+1)

For master programs, most German Universities require 4 year Bachelor degree to through with the admission.

- GRE score
- IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 80

German taught(For German taught programs, students need to pass German language test— Testdaf or DSH— for bachelor programmes.)

- 65% in B.E./B.Tech
- GRE (not necessary)
- IELTS/TOEFL

Most students prefer to live in one of the university’s seven halls of residence which are situated in the immediate surroundings of  three university campuses. The choice of accommodation available ranges from single bedrooms to single and shared apartments.

Rent ranges from €200 to €450 including electricity, water and heating.
