Entry requirements are based on your prior study and specific requirements for qualifications the international students have most frequently achieved.

Admission requirements are set very high by the German Universities.

For Bachelor’s students need to either complete 1 year of Bachelors study in India, appear for IITJEE or they need to go with 1year of foundation course along with the

language Course.(GERMANY has 13 year Education system 12+1)

For master programs, most German Universities require 4 year Bachelor degree to

through with the admission.

English taught

  • - 85% in B.E./B.Tech
  • - GRE score
  • - IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 80

German taught(For German taught programs, students need to pass German language test— Testdaf or DSH— for bachelor programmes.)

  • - 65% in B.E./B.Tech
  • - GRE (not necessary)
  • - IELTS/TOEFL

Halls of residence

Most of the student halls of residence are run by the Munich Student Union (Studen­ten­werk München). There are also halls run by social and private organizations. The university itself does not run any halls of residence.

Room, apartment, shared flat: Most TUM students and employees find their ac­com­modation privately. Many have made friends for life by opting for a shared flat (known as a WG in German)

Hotels and youth hostels

If you’re only staying for a short time – attending a conference, or while looking for accom­modation – there are plenty of hotels and youth hostels available.

Guesthouses

The university can offer a limited number of apartments to international visiting researchers
